Meet The Smiths of Smithellaneous

BECKY, the author of Smithellaneous, is a compulsive reader who loves words and has been known to read books on grammar and the backs of toothpaste tubes just for the fun of it. Photography, computers, malted milk balls, reading, and thrift stores are all on the list of things she loves.

For fifteen years, Becky and her family lived full time in an RV and did concerts in churches in thirty-five states. They wrote their own music, played instruments, and recorded numerous studio CD's. The family left that traveling lifestyle when Steve and Becky's daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with cancer.

In more recent cancer news, Becky was diagnosed with breast cancer (ductal carcinoma in situ) in March of 2010; she had a double mastectomy and finished reconstruction in March of 2011. She is ever so thankful to be cancer free.

STEVE, has been married to Mrs. Smithellaneous for 29 years. He is a pro level bass guitar player, a pastor, a book lover, a word aficionado, a handyman extraordinaire and a repairer of just about anything. (Up to but not including nuclear reactors.)

He loves snow skiing, coconut desserts, Myth Busters, airplanes and jaylenosgarage.com. Steve is completely incapable of going even one day without popcorn.

NATHAN, 21, graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida in May of 2011; he married the lovely Meagan Hawley on July 23, 2011, turning herr into an official Mrs. Smith.

Sarah, 16, loves reading, art, music, and writing her own books. She is funny and wise and comes up with some of the most intriguing twists on words you have ever heard. C.S. Lewis is among her favorite authors.
