Malaise-y Mushiness

Thanks to those of you who have been checking in here for a current update. Things are fine and dandy here, with the exception of some random bonus busyness and stressy-ness.

And for some reason, I've been having a really horrible time with insomnia and have lain awake night after night for no good reason whatsoever.

And so lately, during the day, my brain has been feeling extra, unappealingly mushy and I really want to spare my dear readers the horror of a blog post written by a mushy- brained woman. It wouldn't be purty, believe me.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in here and let you know that I do have tons of blog post ideas floating around in the aforementioned malaise-y maze of my mental mushiness and I will be writing them soon.

And that's all. For now.

Sorry to hear about your insomnia - sounds like menopause to me! A good friend of mine suffered with that symptom more than any other, but fortunately was able to get help with this from her doctor. Hope you are able to get help if this persists. Your life is just too full for mushiness!

I, too, have had a problem with sleep and that's really rare! So sorry to hear you're awake, too! MN Mom is right and could very well be that for me! I keep telling my body, we're not "that old", but she's not listening!

i hate insomnia as well. or i hate waking up too early. i take meds to help me sleep, so getting to sleep isn't that much of an issue.. but waking up too soon, that's a problem. i do not like be foggy and yawny all day either. my brain is already mush, lack of sleep just makes it more so, which doesn't make life trying to get a phd easy at all. blessings for better sleep and less mush.

Menopause for me. Melatonin helps and upping my dose of Effexor helped the night sweats so it's been better the last week or so. Horrible feeling exhausted and not being able to sleep!

Ah yes, the beginnings of menopause. Believe it or not, I take 1 benedryl at night (not every night) and it helps me.
Night sweats for me just started a few momnths ago and it is miserable. I have found that soy helps a lot. I have been drinking these shakes from soy revival (no I'm not endorsing here) just letting you know what has helped me. I'm trying to stay away from hormones and let my body do its thing naturally. But it has not been fun. I also get lots of heart skips. Which again, I have been told by doctors it is my hormones.
Welcome to the club. Take as much advice as you can because it really does help. I'm always looking for advice. Anyone out there know what is good for mood swings????

Not sleeping? I have had some trouble with that lately, too. When I finally do doze off I sleep like a log and miss the events of the morning. Not that it is exciting around here in the morning, but I could contribute to it if I were awake! Bailey Anne (our cat) usually throws herself against the bedroom door if I'm not up by 9 AM. She does that when we go in the bathrooms, too. If the mister is in his throneroom, she'll sit outside it and howl. If I'm in mine, she bangs against the door. What a doofus!!

The mister doesn't sleep well at night either, but he can get up and sit in his recliner and be gone in 5 minutes!

Hope you had a good Easter weekend. We vegged all weekend except for church. It rained so much there wasn't anything going on at the stock car track so we didn't work. Grandkidlets were all busy and we didn't get to spend a lot of time with them. Went out to eat Sunday evening. That was about it! Oh, we played a couple games of dominoes Saturday night which I lost bigtime!!!

Have a good week Becky!!

Love, hugs and ladybugs.....
