Wobbly.

Well, I was planning to write a lively, lovely and lengthy post today but I'm afraid my body and brain have other plans for me.

I'm still just feeling "weird" and I don't know why. I slogged my way to the gym earlier this morning and my legs and arms felt so weak I just knew they were about to give out on me at any moment. I feel like I could lie down and sleep for a week and I'm sorta just slogging along trying to muster up one little shred of energy for the day.

I know what depression feels like and I don't feel depressed. I just feel, well . . wobbly. I feel like I've just run a 26-mile marathon. (Which is sort of funny since I can't even run one-quarter of a mile without being threatened by complete collapse.)

So . . . the quintessential quandary facing me is that I have several thousand things on my To Do List at home and several thousand more things on my To Do List at the church. And my body and brain are both saying, "Lie down! Don't think! Don't do! Don't even think about doing!"

But the logical side of my self is saying, 'Girlfriend, you need to get up and you need to git 'er done."

Sigh.

Is it possibly to git 'er done in a wobbly sort of way? I guess I'm about to find out.

(Picture a few minutes passing here. . . . )

Okay, I'm back. Just as I was typing the above words it occurred to me that I've been on an antifungal medicine for about a month now. I thought, "I wonder if that could be affecting me." I did a search for the medicine's side effects and under "severe side effects" were the words, "Unusual weakness and tiredness."

Hmmmm.

Looks like a call to my doctor might be in order. (And also a nap.)

Hi Becky,
Sorry to hear of your wobbly-ness. Please do call the doctor!
Hope you are feeling better soon.
Take care,

That's probably it. I feel lousy on just about any medicine anymore and being on one for a month will definitely cause some strong side effects. Hope you feel better and the Dr. can adjust your dose.

A call to the doctor is a good idea...and so is a nap. I'm a nap loving gal and I think napping is always a good idea! =)

I hope you are less wobbly so very soon!!

Blessings,
Krista

Hi Becky,
It is good to hear that a little personal detective work has most likely solved the wobbly-ness mystery. I'll bet that made you feel better already. Please check in with your doctor. Hope you are better in a jiffy.

Hi Becky,
I just prayed for you. I hope you feel better soon. My advice after 11 years with a chronic illness is to listen to your body. If it is telling you it needs to rest then do so. Your to do list may be important, but your health and wellbeing is even my important. And I am sure that whoever/ whatever is on your to do list would agree and rather have to wait a little longer and have you well then to have you overexert yourself. So my advice is to wrap yourself in a warm blanket, drink lots of tea, and have a big rest! Read a good book and go for a walk in the sun and pick flowers.

I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear you're blah. Lifted you up for healing AND energy! It's really cloudy & foggy up here so a nap sounds just right!

OK, I'm going to be my bossy self and say that I sure wish you would get off that medicine.

Out of curiosity, I just Googled "home remedies for toe nail fungus" and found some very viable sounding options. A lady at church just told me she used the Vics Vapor Rub treatment and had very good results.

Anyway, might be worth a try. Gotta get you to feeling better!

Let me guess, Deb, you being related to Joann Campbell do any of the home remedies involve vinegar?

I say listen to your sister! I used Vics and had good results too, the vinegar, not so much! :)

Hope you are feeling better soon!

No vinegar involved, Steve "Snide" Smith, except for the small to moderate amount I may reserve to sneak in your morning cuppa java. I think that would probably be a pretty proper penalty for your pernicious, not to mention pugnacious, (and paltry!) perusings on my perceptive proposal of The Care & Treatment of Toenail Fungus. :-}

Another home remedy for you, try white Iodine. That cleared up a fungus infection I got in my nail bed from a rose prick. I don't do well on any sort of medication, it seems I always end up with side effects. I avoid them whenever possible. Best part of all the Iodine doesn't hurt. I just swabbed it on twice a day and it cleared up in no time.

Hope you have spoken to your doctor by now and found out the reason for your weeble-wobbles!! Feel better soon!

Oh Becky, I hope you feel better soon!

Those antifungal meds can be harsh on one's body. My sister felt so sick on it she couldn't take it for more than a few weeks. I've been on the same meds for a month now (only 2 to go...) and my body is acting weird.
Hm hm, that's a good idea to call your doctor!

Hugs from Canada,
R.

I'm still reading backwards and now I am wondering how you are feeling. Is the wobbliness still there? What's going on?! Lisa~
