Busy, busy day.
I am just home in time to fall into bed after spending a bunch of happy, tiring, fulfilling, exhausting, energizing hours working as hard as I could do help as many people as I could.
The day was full of contrasts--sorrows, laughter, and beauty.
There were things not-so-lovely . . .
And things quite lovely . . . .
And life was lived in the spaces between.

I can identify with the pile of flooded-stuff. Many years ago I came home from school to find my whole basement with a foot of clean water. A plumber came and said, "It was your terlit." What's a terlit? well, it was my toilet (upstairs) which never stopped flushing. I never did understand how that made the basement flood. but, the whole driveway was filled with water-damaged stuff. so, I am a little paranoid when it comes to floods/heavy rain... and, of course, that added to my worry for you.
praying for your family, neighbors, friends and
strangers-now-friends whom you are helping.
