It's 11:45 pm. I made it here about an hour ago after an excruciationly long day. Dad is still breathing but hasn't spoken in about 24 hours.

The family is settling in around him for the night.

So glad you made it, Becky, while he is still alive even though not speaking. We stayed around Daddy 24/7 for almost a week even though he did not speak but was still breathing. God will be with you and give the strength you need. Praying for you and your entire family.

He knows you're there. Keep talking to him and give him permission to go if you haven't already. Praying that as things progress, it remains peaceful.

I am so glad you made it. He knows you are there...he was probably waiting for you. My grandma did the same thing. I am praying that his passing is peaceful for everyone involved. God is waiting with his arms open wide to finally welcome His faithful servant home FOREVER.
