Comments.

Just a quick little note for all of y'all! (As we like to say here in the South.)

For a little while, I'm going to enable comment moderation, mainly because I don't want any less-than-kind comments directed toward the person who posted the initial "camera question." Sounds like she's already having a tough time in life.

Also, since I've already expressed my thoughts on that situation, all that's really left is for readers to weigh in either "for me" or "against me" and that's probably not the most productive thing to do right now. So any further negative comments on this subject won't be published.

However, if there is something in particular you'd like to say, you are always more than welcome to e-mail me at smithellaneous@yahoo.com. I'd welcome hearing from you.

I was just telling someone in an e-mail that Smithellaneous folks are the best. And I truly mean it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Becky,
Sorry, I just now read your recent blog about not commenting towards the camera question person. I am a few days behind because of some stressful stuff going on in our life. So I started reading from where I left off a few days ago. Anyway sorry I wrote something you don't want us writing. Just read it for your self and delete it.
Love you,
Sandy

I am Assembly of God. I have been for about 20 years. I think this would be a cool poll to do Becky. To see who reads. But yup. I'm Assembly of God but grew up Baptist.

You know - I thought a LOT about this whole camera/book/CD/hoopla thing on my way home from work today.

You offered goods - a book, a CD - for purchase. Many people sell things, either through their blogs or on their Facebook pages (that would be moi) or through Etsy or whatever.

I think maybe - just maybe - some people might have taken offense simply because you told them why you were selling these items (to raise money for a camera). Do you think that's it? It's not like you said, "I want a camera. Send me money!"

(((hugs)))

Like Lesley, no religion, but very spiritual. I have found that religion, or the "institutional church" often gets in the way of the inclusive, unconditional love and connectedness of God/Universe.
