I have unpacked it and stared at it and circled warily around it and even held it a little bit!
The battery is currently charging and at some point today, I might even get the courage to put it all together and push the shutter button!
I'm so excited!

By the way, I think you should get a 50mm, at least for portrait photos. I love this lense, it works so well (I have a nikkor 50mm f/1.4) :)
Anyway, have plenty of fun with your new toy hehe.
Once you get started, there's no stopping...just a warning :) You can always put it in automatic mode and it will do all the work for you. Then, when you have the energy/time switch to manual, thank goodness for digital, you can delete the hundreds of bad ones :) You probably know that Pionees woman has some nice tutorials on her site--i learn a lot from her blog.
I don't know anything about cameras, but I know I will enjoy your photos!
