A Quick Request

I was talking to Debbie on the phone a minute ago and she said whenever she and Mom go home briefly from the hospital, Mom always runs and checks the mail first thing. She usually comes into the house with only a bill or two in her hand.

Debbie asked me to send Mom a little card and for asked me if I would ask a couple of my friends, too.

"Well," I said to myself, "I can do better than that! I've got the world's best blog readers inthe world and I bet THEY would be willing to do something!"

So if you have a moment in the next day or two, would you mind sending a cheery card to Mom? It would mean so much to her and it would mean so much to me.

The latest report I got was that Dad was moved today from a regular hospital room to a hospice room on another floor. He still floats in and out of coherency but he is receiving a lot of visitors and calls and knows that he is loved.

And what better way to leave this world than knowing that you're loved?

Becky,
Card will go in the mail tomorrow. Our mail lady came this morning around 10 AM but it will go off tomorrow. Praying as your family makes the long trip to be with your family.

Dear Becky~

I have been meaning to send you a note to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time. Both for the Heavenly healing for your Dad and for the interviews at the church in "another town".
You are one amazing lady to be able to interview and blog (and everything else you are doing) while your dad is heading Home. I would be a wreck...everyone would know it and I would not be holding anything together. What an inspiration you are.

I am putting a card in the mail tomorrow! Your mom won't know what hit her when she opens the mail box in the next few days!

My thoughts are always with you and your family Becky.
And tomorrow I will try to find a nice postcard from Rome for your mom.

I used one of my special 'Rachael Cards"... it will be in my mailbox tomorrow morning. I live so close to your parents address, I'm hoping it's there by Thursday!

Becky,

I used one of my special "Rachael Cards" to send a note to your dear mom.
I live so close, I imagine it will be delivered quite soon.
Safe travels.

I will be making a card tonight and it will be in the mail tomorrow.
Your mom sounds like such a sweet, loving mom...I know she will surely miss your sweet, loving dad. That is the saddest part for me..seeing the spouse feeling so lonely and trying to adjust to a different journey without them.
Love to you all,
Colleen

Becky,

Both Chlorita and I will send individual cards when we get back to her house tomorrow. Actually won't hit the mail until Thursday, but know we are both thinking of you, your Mom, and all the extended family.
