Prayers Needed

Caleb is on the left; his cousin, Andrew, is with him. (They're at the cemetery where Dad was buried a month ago.)

It's 10:35 pm.

My sister, Debbie, just called from Wisconsin. Her and Randy's brilliant and funny 13-year old son, Caleb, had a bike accident a few minutes ago and was knocked unconscious. They rushed him to their local hospital for an MRI and he is now being transferred to a large medical center in Madison. She said there is bleeding, but didn't talk long enough to let us know where it is.

Thank you for remembering them in prayer, as the first hours after an accident like this are always crucial.

Oh I am hoping things go well for him. My Jimmy was hit in the head by a baseball while pitching at the age of 14. He sustained a ruptured artery in his brain and a bruise in the back of his brain. He had emergency surgery right after his MRI and the artery was repaired. The bruise took about a year to heal. Kids are resilient, but I was a wreck!
Prayers for wisdom for the doctors, strength for his family and the resiliency of the child.

So sad to hear about your nephew, Caleb. :( Lots of good thoughts and prayers for Caleb! I will be looking for an update tomorrow on Caleb's condition.

Praying for Caleb and the entire family. After all the emotional stress for the past month this added does not help. I know God will give Deb the strength she needs as well as you. Enjoy the time with Steve's parents.

I just saw this, Becky, and I'm praying. One of Adam's buddies in first grade fell off his bike and hit his head (no helmet). Was airlifted to the children's hospital and spent 2 days on a vent. He ended up being fine, although it did take him a few months to fully regain his outgoing, funny personality. Kids ARE resilient; God knew they'd need to be. I'll be watching for updates and lifting all of you in prayer. hugs...

Will be praying for Caleb! Did this happen with a helmet on?
