Sarah and I are headed out to Raleigh right now to take Snowy to a big animal hospital for emergency surgery. He has a huge kidney stone lodged in the opening of his ureter and hasn't been able to urinate all day.
The vet here in Smithfield said the place where it is showing up on the x-rays will make it a very tricky surgery.
Sarah is in tears; I'm not far behind.

Several years ago our little corgi also had to have surgery for bladder stones, altho the surgery wasn't as risky because it was on the actual bladder. We were naturally very worried as it was done on an emergency basis in the middle of the night. My prayers are with you and Snowy as I know how treasured these littlest family members are.

I will be praying for Snowy. That poor little thing must have been in a lot of pain. We have a maltese named Mitch (along with three other dogs) and I know how scary it can be when one is sick.
I wanted to make a comment on Nathan's heart. I have had an irregular heartbeat off and on since I was 20. I'm 49 now. There are so many benign arrythmias out there so don't worry. The purpose of the complete work up is to make sure his heart is structurally normal. (which I am sure it is). With a structurally normal heart, most of the arrhythmias are just a nuisance.

This website was developed (by myself and a friend)to provide as much information as possible so that you can have piece of mind. (something I needed 20 years ago)

Please God, watch over Snowy. Prayers for Snowy and Sarah and you. I know how scary this is - but I have confidence that Snowy will be fine. Poor little guy! Don't laugh but I have animal angels in Heaven and they have just received a request from me to watch over Snowy and pull him through this in a BIG way!
Praying for that sweet dog to have God's hands upon his life and on his surgeon. I know how Sarah is feeling. We need to remember that Snowy is a Smith...and Smiths are conquerors.
