Friday night, we had dinner with a couple from our new church; their two intelligent, active, darling, busy toddlers had reminded me of just how much energy it takes to be a mother of small children.

When I was born in March of 1962, my parents already had three boys under the age of four. (My two younger sisters followed me about two years apart.)

called Mom on Saturday and said to her, "Mom, I really believe you need a couple extra stars in your crown for putting up with six children under the age of ten."

She laughed gently and responded, "You kids are the stars in my crown."

Do I have a great mom, or what?

Working on a longer update to be posted later today . . .
